My research focuses on medical image analysis and description, and I have a great interest in using computer based methods to improve access to medical visual information (content-based image retrieval) and to improve its understanding. I am passionate about languages: I speak Spanish, English, French and I’m struggling with German; I would like to learn Japanese as well. Maybe that’s why I’ve been using language modelling ideas to quantitatively describe images. I wrote a PhD about that.
